Who we are
Study Atlas is a personal study workspace for managing subjects, PDFs, lecture notes, generated notes, flashcards, revision schedules, and productivity activity.
For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact support@studyatlas.online.
Information we collect
- Account details such as name, email address, verification status, and authentication identifiers.
- Study workspace content such as subjects, chapters, uploaded material metadata, notes, flashcards, review history, calendar tasks, Pomodoro sessions, and settings.
- Files or file references you add, including local upload metadata and Google Drive links or identifiers when you connect Drive.
- AI generation inputs and outputs, such as source text, generated notes, generated flashcards, and provider status needed to complete the request.
- Operational data such as request logs, error events, device/browser information, IP-derived region, and security/rate-limit events.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account, verify your email, maintain sessions, and prevent abuse.
- To save, sync, and display your study data across the app.
- To generate notes, flashcards, summaries, and other study outputs when you request them.
- To provide optional storage choices, including local app storage or your connected Google Drive.
- To debug errors, monitor reliability, improve performance, and protect the service.
Storage and third-party services
Study Atlas uses Supabase for authentication and database storage, Vercel for hosting, Sentry for error monitoring, and Resend or a similar transactional email provider for account emails. AI generation may use providers such as Google Gemini, Groq, or OpenRouter depending on the selected route.
If you connect Google Drive, Study Atlas stores the connection information needed to save or access files in your own Drive according to the permissions you grant. You can disconnect Drive from the app or from your Google Account permissions.
Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies are used for sign-in, session security, and application integrity. These are required for the app to work and are not optional.
Optional analytics or product-measurement cookies are blocked unless you accept optional cookies in the consent banner. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage so the banner does not keep reappearing.
Current choice: Not set
Your choices and rights
- You can choose whether files are stored locally by the app or in your own connected Google Drive where supported.
- You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account and study data.
- You can clear optional cookie consent by clearing site data in your browser.
- You can revoke connected Google Drive access through your Google Account settings.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and study data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the app. You may request deletion by emailing support. Deletion may not remove backups or provider logs immediately, but those records will age out under the relevant provider retention policies.
Security
Study Atlas uses HTTPS, secure session cookies, authentication controls, rate limiting, security headers, and database access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we design the app to reduce unnecessary data exposure.
Children
Study Atlas is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The updated date above will show the latest version. Continued use of Study Atlas after an update means the revised policy applies.
